Keynote Address: Securing the Changing Face of Science

Abstract

Science has been transformed in ways few anticipated when the CICI Program began eleven years ago and so has what it takes to keep it trustworthy. This talk revisits CICI’s origins, the community it built, and the AI expansion that is once again redefining what trustworthy science requires.

Bio

Anita is a Research Scientist and Director of Research and Technology Innovation at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. She began her career as a cryptologist and has worked across industry, government, and academia at the intersections of cybersecurity, networking, cryptocurrency, and AI policy.
